Having a great passion for both carp fishing and photography, when the opportunity arose to join the team at Prologic it was a no brainer. Being a well-established company across the world, there are so many great products to cover all styles of angling, and there will be many more to come I’m sure. With such a variety of rod lengths and reel sizes available for example, I can be prepared for any outcome, whether it be using a short rod poking through a bush or 3 on the spot at range, which is perfect for me. With both myself and my partner working full time jobs, having a young family, fishing is sometimes limited, so it is usually very short sessions. This consists of a maybe a work overnighter, or a few hours stalking whilst the kids are at school if I have the luxury of a day off. I absolutely love stalking, sneaking about, laying little traps and running around like a mad man trying to snare an unsuspecting carp, which suits my time on the bank perfectly.

If my memory serves me right, I started angling at a fairly young age. I have fond remembrance of my Uncle Paul taking me to the great river Trent, and crab lining for coarse fish with friends at the village estate lake. This evolved into waggler fishing for Tench over the years, with the desire to catch bigger specimens growing with every capture. The carp bug was born in my mid teens, regularly fishing undisturbed and beautiful hidden gems with my close friend Chris and his father, whom it was who gained us access to these waters being a farmer who worked the land around them. From that point on carp angling has always been a part of my life and I hope always will be, as there is no better sport, hobby or past time in my opinion, especially when spent with friends, old and new alike
