I was approached at the very beginning, when Prologic was first born. Surprisingly it was the company’s fresh new look and openness to generate and create exciting new fishing tackle which I found infectious and couldn’t resist this great opportunity. I love fishing clear, weedy natural wild waters, be it a river, lake, or canal. I am equally at home on modern day commercial waters. Having spent many years as a match angler it doesn’t take me long to change and adopt a new approach. I really love being really close and personal, seeing how a fish reacts to your presentations and baits is amazing. You can learn so much from seeing this and of if you are lucky enough to get a bite at the same the same time. Then battle is also out of this world!

Being fortunate enough to be born into a high level match/competition fishing family, My farther and grand farther before me, were both highly respected match anglers in the UK. I followed in to their footsteps for many years, and I also fished at a national level in the division one nationals.

As the UK match fishing scene changed to commercial fisheries, it was then I decided to choose a different path and target the bigger specimen sized fish. I regularly featured in the pages of – Angling times, Anglers Mail and Improve Your Coarse Fishing magazines. Catching specimen sized Barbel, Chub, Perch, and other species of fish. Later I become much more focused on the Carp fishing and was soon featuring in most Carp fishing magazines - Carp Talk, Carp World, Crafty Carper, Total Carp, UK Carp. I also picked up accolades winning the Fox UK Carp challenge and JRC Carp cup. I have worked in the fishing tackle industry for over 25 years – Starting in fishing tackle retail as a shop assistant working my way up through the ranks to management level for one of the biggest fishing tackle retailors in the UK. Then in in 2013 I joined Svendsen sports as a Territory sales manager and with hard work and determination, worked my way up to my current position of Prologic Product manager. I am also a fully qualified angling coach and try to give my time back when possible, helping others and the less fortunate. I have big emphasis on the enjoyment side of sport, while always appreciating every moment for what it is and not getting blinded chasing sizes and numbers.
